Sledding at Duck Creek

Christmas Morning
Fun..Fun...
Gotta love it!

Christmas Eve, New PJ's and ornaments.

Christmas summary

We had a very Merry Christmas! I hope you all did as well! We went to see our families in Sandy the weekend before, we had a ton of fun with them. We had a party every night we were there. It was busy, but it was great to see everyone! Our parents spoiled us and our kids, we are so grateful for all they do for us! Thanks guys...
We came home a few days before Christmas eve. We joined the Gilchrist and their family up to Duck Creek for some fun in the snow on Christmas eve. It was a blast! The snow fell hard and we enjoyed every second of it. We went sledding and snowmobiling and I even tried out my snowboard for a minute. (kind of hard to board with whiplash...Lol!) It was fun up there, we are so lucky to have such great friends which include us in their holiday festivities. Gilchrist....We love you guys so much!!
We came home so we wouldn't miss Santa. Our kids slept in Christmas morning until about 8:00, which was kind of nice for a change. They had so much fun opening their presents. Zach's favorite was his big Lego set, Bryton loved her Hannah Montana Wig, and Macy loved the wrapping paper. We spent the day just playing with our toys and we saw a movie. It was a relaxing day, couldn't ask for anything else. Hope you all have a Happy New Year!!! We love you all very much!!!

Who says it never snows in St. George.....It has been snowing all day. We were so excited to see the snow yesterday and it is still coming down. The kids were able to build a few snowmen in the backyard. It really feels like christmas here for the first time. I love it!!!

A shot of ambition goes along way!

So, I am blogging a lot more than usual lately. I guess that is due to the fact that I have no vehicle and I am too sore to go exercise or play outside. It really does suck having to stay home and be hurt but, good thing for pain meds.......LOL!
Anyway, I had to write this down because I got a good laugh the other night from Zach. He cracks me up!
We were getting ready to go to the ward party, which I was not looking forward to (this was the night after my accident.) Zach was being very persistent that we go, he was begging us. So, I finally gave in and was slowly getting ready. I was kind of complaining that I didn't feel very good and I really didn't want to go. Zach looked at me and with no hesitation said, "mom, you just need a little shot of ambition!!" I couldn't help but laugh. Brennon agreed that is definitely what I needed. Needless to say we ended up at the party........

Goodbye Exie.....

My poor car is totalled! It actually looks a lot better than I thought it would considering we were hit so hard and it rolled on it's side. The window broke out and the windshield shattered but we weren't cut luckily. The back is pretty bent up. I don't have a picture of that on here but it is probably the worst part.

Car Accident

It has been a crazy past few days. On Thursday Dec. 4 my best friend, Jen and I were driving on I-15 heading southbound into Green Valley. We were hit from behind by a drunk driver who was speeding (going about 85 or 90). We were going along when she clipped the back drivers side of my car and sent us into a tail spin across the freeway. Before we knew what had happened the car flipped on it's side. We were in shock, frantically trying to get out of the car. All I could think of was getting out of the car "before it blew up." (I think I have seen too many movies.) Many people stopped to help, which I was very grateful for. We walked away with only a few bruises and "cervical strains", better known as whiplash. After I cussed out the drunk drivers, we went to the hospital to get checked out. It was a long night but, I am so grateful that we were okay, this could of ended much worse. I know there were Angels there watching over us! I am so blessed that I didn't lose my best friend Jen and that we both came home to our beautiful children and our wonderful husbands. Life is so Fragile. I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for protecting us, keeping us safe through this very scary incident. You just never know when life can change, it can be in a blink of an eye. I hope that you all know how much I love you and how blessed I am to have a great family and many great friends.
*I want Jen to know how much I love her. I don't know what I would do without her in my life, and I am so glad she is okay!

Macy is crawling

Macy just started to crawl today. She is going to be everywhere and into everything! This is when the fun begans.

Thanks to Mark for cheering us in! We had fun running in the rain and burning off a few calories to get ready for our yummy feast!

Turkey Tri

Shac Tri.

Okay, so i did my first Tri. this past weekend. Brennon and I finally did one together. It was really fun to be a participant for once. Brennon did the sprint and I did the beginners. I think we ended just a few minutes apart, LOL! It was really fun, I actually think I would do it again but maybe the sprint next time. Brennon took 3rd in his age group and I .......finished. I can't remember my exact placement I know it was somewhere right in the middle.

Las Vegas Air Show

We went to the airshow in Vegas with our pals; Joni, Rich, Jen, James,Gordon and all our kids. It was a blast! We have awesome friends, thanks for a fun time. Halloween

Halloween

We had a really fun Halloween. It started at 9 in the morning getting ready for the school parade. We then had their class parties and went home to rest up before setting out to trick or treat. Our awesome friends, Jen , James, Joni and Rich came over with their kids for some chili and cornbread. Then we set off for some yummy candy, our kids were able to fill up their buckets almost full. They had a ton of fun! Macy and Brennon went in early while I took Zach and Bryton around to make sure we collected enough treats to last them for awhile.
I think I had more fun then they did, I made them run from house to house while we sang "thriller" as loud as we could. I love Halloween! I am going to convince Brennon that it is fun......one of these days.

Family

Grandma Bea, Lindsey, Mom, Dad, Tera, Macy, Brennon, Zach, and Bryton

Fall weekend

Last weekend we went up to Salt Lake to visit my family. We had lots of fun and made sure that the grand kids wore grandma and grandpa right out. We went to Gardner's Village to have a day witching around, the kids had a blast and didn't want to leave. We were able to go up the canyon and see the leaves turning red and yellow, I miss the mountains so much. It was nice to hang out with my family and to feel what fall is supposed to feel like. We visited Aunt Tera where she now lives, right at the Solitude Ski resort. (Can't wait to come snowboard with you Tera!) I will be able to board right to your front porch, so have the hot chocolate waiting.

Day out for little witches!

moving....update....

UPDATE-
OK, so we are still here in Saint George, we are not going to be moving until January. I thought it would be sooner but Brennon still needs to finish up some stuff on this project here which will take a few more months. We are happy that we don't have to worry about moving until the Holidays are over. We can enjoy are house for Christmas and then start packing when it is over.
I will definetly keep you all posted on any news.

Marathon

Brennon and our friend Josh just crossed the finish line. Way to go!

Okay, so I know I haven't updated anything about the Marathon because I don't have that many cool pics. to show yet. (They are all on Nancy's camera.)I will tell you that it was a cold and rainy day. Brennon did awesome coming in at 3 hours and 59 min. I was right by the finish line and was able to watch the first people come in which included our friend, Kara Bankhead who came in around 3 hours 02 min. ( something crazy like that.) I have never been to a Marathon and now I know why I will never run in one. I saw an extreme number of people pass out at the end and people who just really did not look very good. Why oh why do people like to do this to themselves is beyond me. I thought I was going to faint just watching the runners finish and collapse in the arms of the National Guard who carried them off to a tent for medical help. I am definitely proud of Brennon and I have a new respect for all my awesome friends who run this every year and for the ones who have done it even once! way to go! I think I will stick to 5 and 10k's.

Petroglyphs

Petroglyphs
Petroglyphs

Grandma and Grandpa with the kids
We found this "secret" canyon with some really neat Indian Petroglyphs in it. It was so pretty because it had just rained and there was water trickling down the slot walls.

Cute little Bryton

Bryton had picture day at school, she looked so cute so I took this picture of her. She is in Kindergarten and is loving it.

Macy

Slobber face!

Macy is getting older and is almost 5 months. She is rolling around everywhere and is always laughing. We took these pictures the other day just for fun. It was hard to get her to sit still but we were able to get a few shots.

My TRi Guy!

I just want to Brag for a minute about my Husband.......He is pretty awesome! He participated in the Kokepelli Tri. this weekend and he came in 1st in his age group, 7th over all, and 2nd in the trifecta results (which is the last set of races including; S.G. tri, Summer Games and Kokepelli). He is amazing! He works so hard training and puts alot of effort into this sport. He amazes me- I love being one of the only wives who is at the finish line waiting when everyone else is still at the other end of the race.... Go Brennon! (Oh and well he looks pretty hot too with his lean muscle running machine for a body!)
